The Symbolism Behind Our Logo:
The Bird in the Round Ball

In the realm of psychoanalysis and our programs, symbols hold a special place. They convey deep meaning, often representing intricate facets of the human mind and its journey towards self-awareness and healing. Our logo, featuring a gold bird within a red round ball, encapsulates the essence of our commitment to guiding individuals through the transformative process of our inner evolution.

The bird in our logo is a universal symbol of freedom, intuition, and perspective. It soars above, transcending boundaries and offering a higher vantage point, much like the insights gained during the Metapsychoanalytic journey. Just as the bird explores the sky, our sessions delve into the vast expanse of the mind – soul & spirit, uncovering hidden thoughts, emotions, and patterns that shape our experiences in encounter within our Soma.

Golden Eagle or Phoenix: In various mythologies and spiritual traditions, eagles and phoenixes are often associated with strength, renewal, and spiritual transformation. The golden color can symbolize purity, enlightenment, and the divine.

Alchemical Symbolism: In alchemy, the process of transmutation is often symbolized by the transformation of base metals into gold. This can be seen as an allegory for the spiritual journey, where the individual undergoes inner purification and transformation, striving for spiritual gold or enlightenment.

Spiritual Enlightenment: The term “gold” is sometimes used metaphorically to represent spiritual wealth or enlightenment. A spiritual gold bird might symbolize a guide or messenger leading one towards higher consciousness or awareness.

Chinese & Hindu Symbolism: In Chinese culture, the golden or yellow bird can symbolize good luck and happiness. In Hinduism, the Garuda, a mythical golden bird, is considered a divine creature and a mount of Lord Vishnu.

Dream Symbolism: In some dream interpretations, encountering a golden bird may represent messages from the subconscious, intuition, or the divine. The gold color could signify the importance or sacredness of the message.

The round ball enveloping the bird represents unity, wholeness, and continuity. It symbolizes the therapeutic space we provide, a safe and nurturing environment where one can explore their inner world, free from judgment. This rounded shape signifies the holistic nature of psychoanalysis, recognizing the interconnectedness of thoughts, emotions, and experiences, ultimately leading to a more integrated sense of self.

  1. Enso (Zen Circle): In Zen Buddhism, the Enso is a circle that is often drawn with a single brushstroke. While it may not specifically be red, the concept of a round shape can represent the wholeness and unity of the universe. It symbolizes enlightenment, strength, and the cyclical nature of existence.

  2. Red in Chinese Culture: In Chinese culture, the color red is often associated with good luck, prosperity, and joy. It’s a color commonly used in celebrations and festivals. If the red round ball is part of a cultural or traditional setting, it may carry positive connotations related to these themes.

  3. Symbolism in Taoism: In Taoist philosophy, the circle is sometimes used to represent the Tao, the underlying principle of the universe. Red could symbolize energy, life force, or the dynamic nature of existence.

Just as the bird in our logo represents the potential for transcendence, and the round ball signifies the completeness one can achieve, our psychoanalysis services offer the opportunity to soar beyond limitations and embrace the fullness of one’s being. It’s a symbol of hope, transformation, and the incredible resilience of the human spirit.
